Nicha Sursock
Nicha Sursock is an Egyptian-born Lebanese-Croatian artist based in Vienna, whose work moves between illustration, caricature, and storytelling. Alongside his illustration practice, he has been closely involved in Cairo’s social and creative scene, founding and shaping some of the city’s well-known bars, restaurants, and music venues, including the Cairo Jazz Club. In recent years, his focus has turned to caricature drawing, developed through series such as ‘My Cities’, ‘History of the World’, and ‘My Portrait Masters’. His work is playful and observant, capturing public life through a vibrant mix of personalities – often including himself – offering affectionate and humorous glimpses into different cultures, lively, detailed, and full of character.
